In the study of life threatening infectious diseases, speed is essential. While TEM can provide sub-nanometre resolution, the current practice of manually imaging selected areas limits the data throughput. Delmic's FAST-EM is a high resolution imaging system that provides a 4 nm resolution and up to 100 fold accelerated image collection, meeting the resolution and speed requirements for gaining insights into infectious diseases rapidly.
